In an era of Artificial Intelligence, transparency is not optional—it is essential. This policy details explicitly how Sjesora collects, processes, analyzes, and deletes your data. Our core philosophy is simple: Your data belongs to you.
We do not use your resume, cover letters, or personal profile data to train our foundational Large Language Models (LLMs). Your data is used exclusively to generate insights for you (e.g., matching you to a job) and is not aggregated to improve the model for others.
When our AI analyzes your resume, the text is sent to our inference engine, processed to extract skills and suggestions, and the raw inference context is discarded. We store the results (the suggestions), but we minimize retention of the raw inference session.
A breakdown of exactly what we collect and why.
Resumes, Cover Letters, Portfolios
Usage: To perform AI analysis, keyword matching, and formatting checks.
Storage: Stored securely in our encrypted object storage (S3).
Access: Accessed only by you and software processes initiated by you.
Analysis Scores, Skill Gaps, Job Matches
Usage: To display your dashboard metrics and progress over time.
Storage: Stored in our structured database linked to your user ID.
Job Applications, Messages
Usage: To facilitate the hiring process.
Sharing: Data is only shared with an employer when you explicitly click "Apply" or "Share Profile". We do not sell your profile to recruiters efficiently.
We have technical controls in place that prevent our employees from accessing your private data for arbitrary reasons. Human review of your data only occurs in the following specific scenarios:
You can download a full export of your profile data and uploaded documents at any time from your settings.
You have full editing control over your profile. You can update or replace your resume and skills instantly.
Deletion is permanent. If you delete your account, we scrub your PII from our active databases within 30 days.
